Monday, May 20 - Outdoor STEM afternoon for K, 1, 2

Outdoor learning utilizing some fun STEM activities will be enjoyed by our K, 1, 2 students.  Prayers for good weather🙏

Thursday, May 23 - K,1,2 field trip to Rainbow Park

Spring Concert!!

The spring concert is planned for Wednesday, May 22, at the Creston High School auditorium.  Your child should wear mass/dress up clothes.  Please have your child in their assigned seat behind the stage at 5:45 p.m. for the 6 p.m. concert.

Last Days of School

The final days of the 2023-2024 school year are here!  There are a few items you need to be aware of concerning those days:

• On Thursday, May 23, I will send home the take-home folder for the final time.  You may keep it and not return it.  

• On Thursday, May 23, the first graders will “pack up” their desk belongings.  Please be sure to send a cleaned out backpack to carry all their “stuff”.

• On Friday, May 24, field day activities (coordinated by the 7th/8th grade students and teachers) will begin at approximately 9 a.m. and will be held at our school.  Your child should wear tennis shoes for these activities.

• School dismisses 3 hours early (12:10 p.m.) on Friday, May 24  for summer vacation!! 

Today is my final weekly blog post!  (I'm sending a hard copy in the folder, too.)

 Most Money Raised

Congratulations to the first grade for raising the most money at this year's Glowathon fundraiser.  We are so excited!  Thank you, parents, for your support.  We won a trophy and pizza party.  The pizza party is scheduled for Friday, May 17, for lunch.  (Your child will also have a fruit cup, animal crackers, and juice box with their lunch.)

Animal Fair

Tomorrow, the first grade will be presenting an Animal Fair with their completed animal projects.  An invitation went home a couple of weeks ago.  Parents/family are invited.  Refreshments will be served.  I hope that all will enjoy viewing the projects.  Please feel free to take your child with you (if you can) and the project.  I am hoping that the fair will be finished well before 2:45 pm to avoid too much traffic confusion for school dismissal time.
